Basel in summer time

Basel is the nearest Swiss city to Karlsruhe, so I have visited many times, but in summer it seems to be more beautiful. The whole city is really Swiss, I mean there are many lovely streets, craftsman shops, the decorated town hall and the uniqueness, that you can find everywhere in Switzerland. My favourite place is the square of the Tinguely fountain with the moving sculptures. The Rhine has nice colour, it is green and blue at the same time. When the weather is hot enough, you can also swim in the Rhine, last year it was pretty warm.

Summer memories from the Lake Constance

In June we spent a lovely day at the Lake Constance, where we visited Meersburg and Lindau. Both are really picturesque towns at the lake. In Meersburg there is a Castle in the upper town with amazing view to the Alps and to the lake. Lindau is a Bavarian town located in an island with nice streets and amazingly painted houses. My favourite summer colour is the colour of the lake in sunshine.
