Two years ago we had one of the most beautiful German trips at the Moselle. This is an important river flowing through France, Luxemburg and Germany. From the Moselle in Metz you can find a post here. In May 2009 I had an other camera, so the quality of the photos will be not the best. The weather started with fog but later we enjoyed the sunshine. That day was quite busy as the Moselle is a bit far from Karlsruhe and we should travel a lot during the night.
We started with the most amazing castle at the Moselle called Reichsburg in the lovely town Cochem. Luckily I could take photos in the inner side of the castle too. After that we had a trip on the hills to see the so called Moselschleife bei Bremm, bow of the Moselle . So this is a panorama that you should definitely see, as the river changes its direction with almost 360°. This region has remarkable wine production because the riverbank rises boldly so the grapes have a lot of sunlight next to the river. As a ship-fan we managed to ship too, so we arrived at Berkastel-Kues, the most picturesque village at the Moselle with a castle and beautiful panorama from the river side. The day we finished in Traben Trarbach.
