Roussillon, the village made of ochre

Roussillon was the most amazing experiences during our trip in Provence. This village was an important place for mining of ochre, which is a yellow, red, brown and sometimes purple colored natural earth pigment. There is the famous ochre path, where you can see all of this colors.
The village on the hill is really picturesque and inspiring, and the were a lot of Japaneses and French artists, who painted the view and the rich colors of ochre. I loved the tones, the pastels and the whole atmosphere, I hope you enjoy the photos too.

Aix-en-Provence, the heart of Provence

21:04 Unknown 0 Comments

It has been a while since I posted on my blog, but now I am back again with a beautiful city in France, what we visited in Mai, so the photos are not form summer but from spring. Everything about Aix-en-Provence was so magical, as two of my favorite painters lived here: Cezanne and Vasarely, and because of the unique Provencal atmosphere with pastel colored houses, fine restaurants and the smell of the fresh morning market.
