La grande chandelle, the great candle of the Calanques
In Mai when we visited Provence and Marselle one of the greates highlight was the Massif des Calanques. The white limeston and the clear blue water has an amazing contrast with beautiful panorama to the coast and to Marselle as well. So we decided to spend two days on these hills In this post I show you the fist one to the famous grande chandelle, which is a huge candle-formed rock on the top of a hill. From this point you have a breathtaking view to the coast of Cassis and to the Cap Morgiu. After this we went to the small fishing village Morgiu and than we climbed to see the Bec de Sormiou. The weather was perfect, not too warm and there were no problem with fire and too dry climate, what you often have in summer.XoXo
