Château de Chambord, the largest castle of the Loire Valley
The first thing that you realize about the Chateau de Chambord is its size. It shows wealth and power of King Francois I., who lived in the castle only few days. You can find everywhere his symbol: the salamander. I loved the staircase inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, it was made of two spirals, so that they never meet. I liked the cloudy weather as it fits the atmosphere of the chateau.
