Manueline and the countryside

The Portuguese late Gothik is really unique, so I decided to write a post of it. We visited two perfect examples of Manueline: the Convent of Christ in Tomar and the Monastery of Batalha. This style was influenced by the great voyages of discovery, so it contains many elements of ships, sea and it has also elements of African, Brazil and Indian culture. My favorite symbol was a belt on the tower in Tomar.
The countryside in Portugal is worth a visit not just because of the Manueline buildungs, but has many pretty towns with great history: Evora, Castello de Vide, Elvas and Nazare. I hope you enjoy the photos.
