The living medieval village - Rothenburg ob der Tauber
In June we visited Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the medieval town above the river Tauber. There was a medieval festival, so that the streets were filled with people in medieval clothes and this added an amazing atmosphere to this beautiful old town. In the middle ages it was a free state with own rights and it feels like you are in a castle, as on the city wall there are many towers. Its most famous cake is the so called Snowball and it is really delicious. I really love the romantic touch of pictures with roses. Remark to the picture with sausages, they are made from marzipan.
