The almond blossom festival
In every year there is a so called almond blossom festival in Gimmeldingen next to Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. In this region there are many almond trees, as the weather is quite mild. The blooming almond trees look fabulous, and they are in flowers quite early when the spring starts. First we visited the pretty Deidesheim and the photography museum. Then we walked to Gimmerdingen on the vineyard and we enjoyed the sunny weather. The fragrance of the almond blossom was amazing and I haven't seen so many beautiful pink flowers before. In this post I used my new lens: Canon 50mm f/1.8 II, which I really love. |
